Development Management Team Leader

Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a local authority in Buckinghamshire, are looking for an experienced Development Management Team Leader to join their team and play a crucial role in their planning operations.  

Position: Development Management Team Leader
Rate: £34.99 p/h (Umbrella)
Contract: 5 months (Possible Extension)
Work Style: Hybrid Working 

Duties:

• Developing a team of technical staff within Development Management, providing expert planning advice and statutory services.
• Lead on strategic negotiations with applicants, appointed professional agents and key stakeholders.
• Manage escalated complex casework requiring a high level of personal expertise and experience in Development Management.  
• Responsible for creating a culture that supports the development of staff, through performance management, training and coaching.
• Representing the council at Hearings and Public Inquiries, including the preparation of evidence to a high quality within agreed timescales.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience within an Senior Development Management position or equivalent.
• Local government experience or experience within a similar organisation.
• Full clean UK driving and access to a vehicle is essential for this role.
