Job Description

HR & Recruitment Coordinator

Are you a people-focused HR professional who thrives in a lively, varied role? We are seeking a proactive, highly organized HR & Recruitment Coordinator to join our client’s dynamic team in Leeds. As the face and voice of the HR team, you will often be the very first point of contact for candidates and employees alike. We are looking for someone who brings a vibrant, professional, and approachable personality to the workplace—a confident communicator who excels at building positive relationships and representing the business with pride.

Working closely with the Group HR Director, Senior HR Advisor, and managers across the business, you will play a pivotal role across the entire employee lifecycle. From making candidates feel welcome and getting stuck into recruitment, to providing first-line ER support and keeping admin seamless, this role offers incredible variety and genuine room to grow.

Benefits-

  • Salary: Up to £34,000 per annum
  • Work-Life Balance: Full-time (8:30am–5:00pm, Monday–Friday) with 1 day hybrid working from home
  • Career Growth: Fully funded study support (CIPD or equivalent) following your probation period
  • Time Off: 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays
  • Perks: Free on-site parking and a competitive company pension scheme
Responsibilities

This is a multifaceted, fast-paced role offering excellent end-to-end exposure across three core pillars:

Recruitment & Candidate Experience

  • Be the welcoming, engaging champion for top talent—coordinating end-to-end recruitment from advertising vacancies to screening applications, arranging interviews, and liaising with hiring managers.
  • Deliver an exceptional, high-touch onboarding and induction experience for all new starters.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment analytics and produce insightful reports.
Employee Relations Support

  • Provide confidential, highly organized administrative support across employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, and performance management processes.
  • Prepare comprehensive correspondence and meeting packs; attend formal ER meetings to take accurate, detailed notes.
  • Ensure all confidential employee records remain fully compliant and up to date.
HR Administration & Operations

  • Smoothly manage new starter and leaver processes, including contracts, references, right-to-work checks, system updates, and exit interviews.
  • Administer employee lifecycle changes seamlessly, including salary adjustments, contractual variations, and internal transfers.
  • Maintain precise HR systems in line with GDPR guidelines, providing swift and friendly first-line support to employee and manager queries.
  • Get involved in high-impact HR projects, policy updates, tender documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications

  • Experience: Proven track record in an HR Administration or Coordination role, including direct hands-on experience supporting ER cases (particularly disciplinaries).
  • Personality & Presentation: Professional, friendly, and approachable, with a confident, outgoing nature and the ability to build immediate rapport.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills (written and spoken), paired with standout organizational, coordination, and administrative abilities.
  • Knowledge & Tech: Good understanding of core HR processes and employment legislation, fully proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Qualifications: CIPD qualifications are not required for this role. What matters most is your experience, drive, and personal presentation—our client is fully prepared to sponsor and support you through your CIPD (or equivalent professional qualification) once you are on board!
