We're looking for a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join a successful family-run independent garage in Etchingham, East Sussex.

You'll work on a wide range of vehicles in a modern, well-equipped workshop, with ongoing training and the support of an experienced team.

The Role

You'll work on a variety of vehicles, carrying out a mixture of mechanical, electrical and diagnostic work.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Vehicle servicing and routine maintenance
• Mechanical repairs
• Electrical fault finding and repairs
• Vehicle diagnostics
• Diagnosing and repairing vehicle faults
• Vehicle health checks and inspections
• MOT preparation
• Using modern diagnostic equipment
• Carrying out repairs to a high standard
• Completing jobs efficiently and accurately
• Maintaining a clean and organised workshop
• Following health and safety procedures

You'll have the opportunity to work on different makes and models, giving you the chance to broaden your technical experience and continue developing your skills.

Who we're looking for

We're open to applications from both experienced technicians and newly qualified mechanics.

You could be an ideal fit if you have:

• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Motor Mechanic, Car Mechanic or Automotive Technician
• Level 2 or Level 3 NVQ / City & Guilds in Vehicle Maintenance, or equivalent
• Good mechanical knowledge
• An understanding of vehicle diagnostics and fault finding
• A genuine interest in automotive repair
• Good attention to detail
• A reliable and professional approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Full UK driving licence preferred
