We're looking for an experienced MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician to join a modern, fully equipped workshop in Wellingborough.

Monday to Friday. 8:00am-5:00pm. No weekends.

The Role

As an MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician, you'll carry out MOT testing alongside servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and mechanical repairs.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out Class 4 and Class 7 MOT tests
• Completing MOT tests in accordance with DVSA requirements
• Vehicle servicing and routine maintenance
• Mechanical repairs
• Diagnosing mechanical and technical faults
• Carrying out vehicle health checks
• Identifying faults and recommending appropriate repairs
• Using diagnostic equipment
• Completing MOT documentation and job cards accurately
• Maintaining digital records
• Working to high standards of quality and safety
• Maintaining a clean, organised and professional workshop

You'll work across a varied range of vehicles, including petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric vehicles.

About You

We're looking for someone who is experienced, reliable and takes genuine pride in their workmanship.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous experience as an MOT Tester, Vehicle Technician, Vehicle Mechanic, Automotive Technician or similar
• A valid MOT Tester qualification
• Strong mechanical knowledge
• Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Good attention to detail
• A full UK driving licence
• A professional and reliable approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Coming From a Different Automotive Background?

Previous EV or Hybrid experience is not essential.
